# How to Save Your Signature for Countersigning a Document 💼

The option to save your signature is available **only for countersigning a document**. Let’s get started!

#### **Steps to Save Your Signature**✏️

1. **📄 Make Sure You Have a Signed Contract:** Before saving your signature, you need to have a signed contract that includes countersign signer blocks. If you’re unsure how to countersign a contract, check out \[[this article here](/mesuite-docs/document-manager-guide/how-to-countersign-a-document.md)].
2. **🗂️ Find Your Signed Contract:** Head over to the **File Manager** and locate the contract you need.

3. **📝 Manage - Countersign:** For contracts that have countersign signer blocks, you’ll see the option to countersign under **Manage - Countersign**.
4. **🔐 Countersign the Document:** Click **Countersign** and this window will pop up, showing you the contract and the fields filled in by your client. You’ll also see the fields you need to complete to countersign the document at the bottom.

\
\&#xNAN;**→ ⌨️ Option 2:** Type your signature in the bar provided, and watch it appear in cursive in the box above.

\
\&#xNAN;**→ 📤 Option 3:** Upload a signature you already have saved. This is great if you want your signature to look exactly like your handwritten one. Just save the image of your signature as a PDF and drag and drop it into the designated space. Easy, right? 😉

6. **💾 Save Your Signature:** If you’re happy with the signature, you can save it for future use! Just check the box that says **“Do You Want to Store Your Signature?”** and you’re good to go! Next time you need to sign a document, your saved signature will appear instantly, making the process quick and hassle-free. 🎉✨

7. **✅ Verify Countersign Completion:** After countersigning the document, look for a **green checkmark** next to the document in the **File Manager**. This means the document has been countersigned successfully!
